Build BatesFlow with us.

We automate divorce discovery production for matrimonial attorneys — built by a divorce lawyer, for divorce lawyers. We’re a small team, and here’s the one role we’re hiring for right now.

The opportunity

This is a founding role, not a seat on a sales floor. You’ll be employee-early at a fast-moving startup with a product that already works and customers who already love it. You’ll own the number, build the playbook, and grow into the person who runs the sales org.

BatesFlow turns days of manual discovery work into minutes. Our customers — divorce and family-law attorneys — feel the pain every single week, and the demo sells itself. What we need is someone relentless enough to get in front of them and close.

$150K–$500K+ OTE

Uncapped. The ceiling is your effort.

Read this part carefully. You are paid off closed deals. On every deal you close, you take home a portion of the revenue — the harder and smarter you sell, the more you make. There is no ceiling, and there is real equity on the table because we want an owner running this. We’ve built compensation systems like this before, and people have earned over $1,000,000 a year on them.

This is not a base-salary job, and we want that to be unmistakable. If a steady guaranteed paycheck is what you’re after, this role is not for you — full stop. If you back yourself to out-earn any salary by closing, keep reading.

Who you’ll be working with

You’d build alongside two founders who have actually done it before — and report straight to them, with no layers in between.

James Sexton, Esq.

One of the most recognized divorce attorneys in America, who built the country’s leading divorce practice and lives in the exact pain BatesFlow solves. He is the product’s credibility with every attorney you’ll sell to.

Our other co-founder

Built the go-to-market systems behind Barstool Sports, The Pat McAfee Show, and Anchor (which became Spotify Podcasting), plus the go-to-market for Opus.pro, the leading AI video editing tool. He knows how to take a product from zero to scale — and he’ll be in the trenches with you.

Who we’re looking for

Young, hungry, and entrepreneurial. We don’t care about your pedigree. We care that you’ve hustled, that you’ve made money on your own at some point in your life, and that you want to make a lot more of it here.

Based in or able to be in New York City is a major plus — it’s where BatesFlow is built and where many of our customers practice.

A few hard rules

So we don’t waste each other’s time:

The application

Tell us about you

Short on purpose. We only ask what we actually care about. One question matters far more than the rest — and it’s a long one. Give it the time it deserves.

City & state. (US-only, and NYC is a plus.)

This is the one we really care about — so really explain it. A website you built, a side hustle you ran, a business you started, something you sold. What did you do? Why? How did you find customers, set prices, and get paid? What went right, what went wrong, and what did you learn? We’re looking for genuinely entrepreneurial people, and this answer is how you show us. Don’t be brief — the more real detail, the better.

A website, app, store, social account, portfolio — anything you built or ran. Optional, but it helps a lot.
