Acceptable Use Policy
Rules governing use of the BatesFlow platform

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of BatesFlow, operated by SKL LLC. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Permitted Use
BatesFlow is designed for licensed attorneys and authorized legal professionals to process, organize, and produce legal discovery documents. You may use the Service only for lawful legal document management purposes within the scope of your professional practice.
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
Account & Access
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals.
- Create accounts using false or misleading information.
- Access or attempt to access another firm’s data, accounts, or tenant environment.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent authentication, access controls, or tenant isolation.
System Integrity
- Upload files containing malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious code.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of any part of the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without prior written consent.
Content & Data
- Upload documents you do not have the legal right to process.
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Use the Service for purposes unrelated to legal document production.
Competitive Use
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
- Benchmark, analyze, or reverse engineer BatesFlow’s AI classification, OCR, or document processing capabilities for competitive purposes.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization.
3. Rate Limits & Fair Use
BatesFlow applies reasonable rate limits to ensure fair access for all users. Automated or bulk operations that significantly exceed normal usage patterns may be throttled. If your practice requires higher limits, contact us to discuss enterprise plans.
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to security@batesflow.com.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violation of this AUP, including but not limited to: issuing warnings, suspending access, terminating accounts, and pursuing legal remedies. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
